The Valais Blacknose sheep are a special and unique breed which reside in the mountains of Switzerland.

This breed was brought to the world’s attention but especially the United Kingdom when BBC Countryfile went to Switzerland to visit these beautiful sheep and bring them down from the mountain.

The VBN sheep first appeared in the UK in February of 2014 They are a dual purpose sheep, used in Switzerland mostly for meat and wool. Their fleeces are course and good for felting and making carpets.

Deemed the ‘worlds cutest sheep’

These beautiful sheep have adapted very well to the UK climate.

The society have an online flock book with Grassroots Ltd. keeping records of the breed true to the Swiss bloodlines.
